Security loperamide hydrochloride was evaluated in 2,755 patients aged 12 years who participated in 26 controlled and uncontrolled clinical studies on the use of loperamide hydrochloride for the treatment of acute diarrhea. Side effects that occurred with a frequency of 1% reported in these clinical studies:
